Meet Special Olympics
Special Olympics is a global organization that unleashes the human spirit through the transformative power and joy of sport every day around the world, through sports programs, education and community building. Special Olympics is changing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by solving the global injustice, isolation, intolerance and inactivity they face. They provide opportunities to people around the world in more than 221 Accredited Special Olympics Programs in more than 170 countries.
To meet the needs of their athletes, they require sports equipment, technology, furniture, medicine, textiles, hygiene items, educational material.

They currently have 10 sub-programs in Tumbes, Piura, Jaén, Trujillo, Chiclayo, Lima, Callao, Ica, Arequipa and Tacna. Its offices are located in the facilities of the Peruvian Olympic Committee in the National Sports Village - Videna.
Special Olympics will hold an online rhythmic gymnastics competition as a Christmas event to close this year in the best way motivating people with disabilities to play sports despite going through difficult times.
